There are number of employment opportunities in
Army, Air force, Navy and other Para military services.
The respective departments are organizing recruitment
rallies in Andhra Pradesh every year. In Army alone
there are nearly 4000 vacancies allotted for Andhra
Pradesh and our youth are not utilizing these opportunities
properly. Most of the vacancies are left unfilled
due to the failure of candidates in written test.
There are another 1000 vacancies in Air force and
other pare military forces.
The written test for Army recruitment will be conducted
in Hindi and English only and the youth of our state
are feeling difficult to write the examination in
other than Telugu. So to over come this situation,
the departmenf of Youth Services is taking special
interest to utilize all the employment opportunities
available in Army and other services by giving training
to the eligible unemployed youth.
Department of Youth Services is giving wide publicity
to the Army recruitment rallies conducted by the
Branch Recruiting Officers of Secunderabad, Guntur
and Vizag in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The unemployed
youth will be provided with all the information
regarding Army and they are motivated to join into
Army.
Prior to the recruitment rallies, the Department
is selecting the eligible candidates as per Army
recruitment norms for free training. These selections
will be conducted at divisional level and the selected
candidates will be imparted training for 30 days.
The training will be conducted by NCC officers and
Ex-Servicemen in Physical exercises as well as for
written examination. During the training the candidates
will be provided free food and accommodation. Required
funds could be provided by Department of Youth Services
and Rural Development.
During 2001-2005, 19005 candidates have undergone
training and in which 6762 candidates have got selection
into Army. Nearly Rs.3.00 Crores amount was spent
on Army Recruitment training during the above period.
Department of Youth Services has been organizing
regular training programmes in all the districts
and this training programme has achieved good results
and since last two years, more number of youth has
been recruited to Army.
This year it is proposed to organize training to
15000 youth with an expenditure of Rs.3.00 Crores
for Army and allied services recruitment. For Army
recruitment training , selection of candidates will
commence in 10 districts for Karimnagar rally from
25th of April. Training would commence from 6th
May and rally would take place from 6th to 14th
